  • More than 4500 youth have participated in the Campaign since its inception in 1993
  • Governorates and local authorities commitments in more than 20 governorates to sustain the cleaning activities after the end of the campaign.

Clean Up Egypt
Campaign "To be more collaborated"

 


 

 

 

  • In addition to participating in this international campaign, AOYE incepted Clean Up Egypt Campaign in January 1997.
  •  which was designed to promote sound management of solid wastes, and raising environmental awareness in Egypt. 

  • AOYE implemented clean up and environmental awareness campaign in the area of Old Cairo, Amr Ibn El Aas. 

  • The clean up campaign was implemented by more than 100 young people from the community as well as from other communities in Cairo. 

  • Atraining/ awareness workshop was organised to the participating youth. This one day clean up helped to mobilise local action against the mounting solid waste management problem.

  •  The participation of the Minister of Environment in the clean up event made the campaign a great success.
