householders, 60 unemployed youth to work in recycling
garbage, two thousand school students, two thousand
community leaders, NGOs and religious leaders. Apart
from the income generating and poverty alleviation
effects of the program, it will also bring with it
considerable environmental and health
benefits.
Health Benefits: the project will have
profound health benefits to those communities because
they were not given the proper garbage collection
services that the project will provide. The communities
will feel the positive impact of the implementation of
the project on their health standards, and thus,
they will be encouraged
to maintain
it.
Moreover, the positive visual impact of
the project on the environment will encourage
those communities to feel and touch the importance
of having a clean environment as well as observe
the impact of their behavior on their
surroundings.
On the other hand, cooperation
between RAED and partners NGOs will be come stronger.
Thus, creating a model of partnership in the region,
that could be replicated in other projects and in other
countries.
