Training Programs


 

 

Objective

 

conduct three kinds of training programs. First training program will focus on the local staff of RAED and partner NGOs, to make them aware on solid waste management techniques world wide and train them about the appropriate techniques for the region.

 

The result of the KAP study conducted in each area will be presented. The second training program will be for the 2000 housewives. While the third training program will be conducted for the youth at two levels, one level for 120 youth (30 per countries) to train them on the preliminary SWM techniques, after which 15 youth will be selected to continue with the second level to be trained specifically on how to separate at source, the practical recycling and reusing techniques processes

 

Inputs


 

  • An expert to set three special training program the first for local staff (the coordinators and partners) on comprehensive RCSWMP to upgrade the skills ofthe workers on the best appropriate practices for the SWMin the target areas this training program 

should be held in one of the four countries. The technology transfer aspect of the ( RCSWMP) done through the EU partner. The result of the KAP study conducted in each area will be needed at this stage to prepare the training curriculum based on actual information. The second training will be for the housewives and the third for 2 level training courses of the youth.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Fifteen local staff (RAED & the NGOs partners) of RCSWMP.
  • One hundred twenty youth (30 per Countries) volunteers from the local community.
  • Establishment of four demonstration units, three dry materials (plastics, papers and glass recycling units) and one for wet materials (compost unit), four units for each area.

 

 

Outputs

 


 

 

 

  • One training curriculum for 2000 housewives
  • One training curriculum for local staff (RAED and partner NGOs).
  • One training curriculum at two levels for youth target groups.
  • Fifteen local staff trained and with a global vision of the situation in each target area in the different countries and mostly importantly prepared for coordination.

 

 

 

 

  • Sixty trained qualified youth on the garbage treatment, recycling and reusing.
  • Establishment of SW demonstration units plastics, papers, glass and organic materials recycling units in each area.

  • Two thousand trained and well oriented women who can support the project socially. The role of women is vital in promoting for the project among their neighbors in the communities where they are settling
